Emilie Brecard
Photographer | Paris, France

Émilie Brecard is a Paris-based photographer whose work unravels from an intimate conversation with herself, the body as archive, echo chamber, battlefield, and garden all at once. Through self-portraiture, she pokes at the raw edges of femininity: its tender beauty, its cavernous depths, and the sharp violence that often lurks in the shadows.

Through her work, she asks us to look again at the female body, to notice the history it carries and imagine what freedom could look like. Her photos aren’t just for looking at; they’re an invitation to really see, and to sit with whatever truths and shadows come up when you do.
